Snap, Crackle, Pop!

Good morning!

Today I'm going to share a twist on a classic recipe with you. In fact, the recipe is pretty much the same as the original--the only thing that is switched up is the ingredient portions. This is a treat that my mom and I whip up when I'm in town for the weekend since it is quick and easy yet still tasty!

One would think that we could make some delicious Rice Krispie bars with these ingredients, correct?

However, whenever one makes said bars, the best part is not the end result, but rather the ooey-gooey mix that is left over in the pan, right?

Therefore, why not skip the whole bar-making process and just make the goo? Basically, all you do is make 1/4 of the recipe on the box of cereal and that is enough to serve you and a friend. It is also important to use a small pan when you make this modified version since fewer marshmallows in a large pan can easily burn.

As soon as the butter, marshmallows, and vanilla form an even consistency, pull the pot off the burner and stir in your cereal--mixing until it is all coated. As soon as it is all mixed up, transfer the goo to a bowl and enjoy with a spoon!

It's so delicious! If you thought Rice Krispie bars are good, wait until you try them when they are warm and gooey!

Of course, if you have extras, you can always make them into bars for a friend!

Have a great Friday--it's almost the weekend!

What is your favorite cereal?
Any fun Friday night plans?
